How I hope he really means it

Rudy Giuliani,
discussing tax policy:
"I’ve seen how pro-growth policies lead to broader prosperity. We'll not only keep the current tax cuts in place or their equivalent, we'll enact additional tax relief and give the Death Tax the death penalty. High tax rates hurt business and destroy jobs. I know that tax cuts are good for the economy. It's not just theory for me because I cut taxes and got results as Mayor of New York City. As President, I will cut taxes further."
My fear is that it's just a matter of shoring up the support of fiscal conservatives in the right wing and not genuine sentiment.
Headlines which strike fear in my heart

Romney unveils national healthcare plan.
"We're going to make health insurance affordable. We're going to get on track to have every citizen insured. And we're going to reduce the rate of growth in health care spending," Romney said in an exclusive interview with McClatchy Newspapers previewing the proposal that he'll unveil Friday in a speech to the Florida Medical Association.
Evidently Romney's campaign strategy is to be the most liberal Republican since... George W. Bush.

Barrak Obama on the Daily Show addressing his lack of experience [paraphrasing slightly as I don't have the exact wording], "No one had a better resume than Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld, and you see where that has gotten us."
The fact that experienced people have failed in the past is not an argument
in favor of inexperience. But people eat this shit up. Eat it. Up. Come line up for your ration of shit, folks, it's election season!
